While the majority of materials relevant to literary studies have been digitized, the adoption of computational methods within the discipline has remained uneven over the past decade. In his talk, Professor Thomsen maps fundamental approaches to digital literary studies and outlines core computational competencies for students in the field. The talk concludes with an outlook on how generative AI will influence literary studies.
